CDA supports hospitality businesses in the local community

We are delighted to support Yotel with recent work placements, delivered by Camden Council’s Work Experience (WEX) programme – providing Camden residents the chance to develop employability skills and explore different career paths through structured, meaningful placements.

This initiative supports residents of all ages, with a focus on those from priority groups. Camden Council’s employment support services will be available to offer guidance, ensuring any necessary adjustments are made during the placements.

Five residents are currently benefiting from this life-changing opportunity, gaining invaluable experience and skills to enhance their future career prospects.

Georgina Oakley from Yotel commented – “We were delighted to be part of this very worthwhile initiative in collaboration with the Central District Alliance and Camden Council and support our local community. The mentees carried out placements in various departments around our hotel and at our head office, enabling them to get insight into the many different areas of hospitality. They had practical and hands-on experience in each role to help them build confidence and gain skills for future employment. I hope that their work experience showed them the breadth of opportunities available to them in the hospitality industry and that they enjoyed the experience as much as we enjoyed hosting them.”
